Jon Gosselin is full of surprises these days. Not only did he recently seek to delay his divorce by 90 days, but now he wants his kids off the airwaves as well. In fact, he wants production of the show to stop.
Gosselin’s attorney, Mark Jay Heller, has said that Jon feels that his family is like a disaster waiting to happen.
It turns out that TLC’s original contract with the Gosselin family may be terminated because the channel never obtained the special permits mandated by Pennsylvania Child Labor Law as a prerequisite for the eight kids’ involvement on the program.
Jon Gosselin also says that TLC “failed to designate the appropriate compensation to be allocated to the children” and “it may ultimately be determined that TLC has not provided for compensation for the eight children over the past four years.”
All this coincidentally comes just a few days after TLC announced that they were going to re-brand the top-rated reality show to just “Kate Plus Eight,” excluding Jon from appearing in the show.
Heller maintains that Jon Gosselin had ben mulling over taking his children off of the show even before TLC made its announcement about changing the title of the show.
