Jon Gosselin has filed a countersuit against TLC, in which he claims that the network's producers violated PA child labor laws while filming Jon & Kate Plus 8. He also claims that they are keeping him from working.
Gosselin is seeking more than $5 million in the lawsuit. It was filed on Thursday right here in Maryland and was in response to a TLC suit claiming that Jon Gosselin didn't meet his obligations as an employee.
Gosselin's lawyer, Mark Jay Heller, further states that TLC coerced the Gosselins into agreeing to a complex contract in 2005 without the advice of an attorney. He says that contract paid the family $2,000 per episode of the show and failed to pay the eight Gosselin children. Heller goes on to say that TLC neglected to obtain child work permits.
TLC has no comment at this time.
