Could there be a reconciliation on the horizon for the Gosselins?
Former reality star Jon Gosselin has issued an apology to ex-wife Kate for having to endure a seemingly endless parade of girlfriends after the pair went their separate ways in 2009.
“I am sorry, because I did stuff I wouldn’t want done to me,” Jon Gosselin told People.
Jon admitted to being somewhat passive-aggressive during his 10-year marriage to his ex-wife and said that both time and therapy have helped him to come to terms with his shortcomings.
He said that Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, former adviser to Michael Jackson, always used to tell him that he could either use his fame to “sell out” or use it “for good.”
“I didn’t grasp that at the time,” Gosselin said.
The 35-year-old dad of eight has recently started a new job as a director of sales and promotions for Gameface Int. and is dating Liz Jannetta, a 27-year old single mother.
Jon says he still calls his ex-wife for parenting advice every now and then.
“She’s a great Mom,” Gosselin said. “We just have different parenting styles.”
The renamed Kate Plus 8 was cancelled last August and, at the time, Jon Gosselin said that he was “relieved” at the fact that his children would no longer be on camera.
Jon says he’s open to returning to television, but so far he says he’s only been offered “crazy stuff.”
