Jim Morrison’s estate is after the domain name JimMorrison.com. They have taken the battle to World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) under UDRP rules.
Currently, the domain name belongs to Rick Sentieri.
The web site that’s currently up at JimMorrison.com is a bit hazy at best as far as its content goes. The site states:
Welcome to the home of Jim Morrison’s Fantasy Magazine. It is the place where reality is completely and most definitely out of the question…Our mission brings together a unified society with the commitment to supply a forum for undiscovered talent. Rick Sentieri, Publisher. We help to bring dreams to life. By assiting (sic) artist with publishing and marketing thier (sic) artistry.
Okaaaaaay.
The site links to everything but the kitchen sink – “Health”, “Finance”, “Shopping”, etc.
Jim Morrison died in 1971 and was the lead singer for The Doors. The arbitration case is still pending.
