JFK Airport Closed Blizzard

A massive blizzard tracking up the East Coast has forced the closure of New York’s “big three” area airports, including JFK airport, LaGuardia airport, and Newark airport.

In addition, over 1,400 flights in the area have been canceled as a result of the monster snowstorm.

According to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, John F. Kennedy International Airport is now closed.

“Weather conditions at JFK Airport have caused disruptions in flight activity,” reads the report. “The airport is currently closed. Please check with your airline before traveling to JFK to determine if your flight is affected.”

There is a silver lining, however, as Newark airport was scheduled to reopen at noon EST on Monday, LaGuardia at 2 p.m. and JFK at 4 p.m.
