It certainly didn’t take long for the cast of Jersey Shore to go all “diva” on MTV.

The crew hopes their pay will increase to $10,000 per show following the enormous success of their first season.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, “Pauly D” Delvecchio, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and Jenni “J-Woww” Farley each got a couple hundred dollars per show this year, and now they want more.

One source tells the NYPost, “They want $10,000 an episode, arguing that the stars from The Hills get $100,000 per episode and that show doesn’t even rate as high. They’re hanging together like the cast of Friends and saying if they don’t all get the pay increase, none of them will return.”

The Thursday night season finale of Jersey Shore was seen by an estimated 4.8 million viewers, which equates to three times the audience of the season premiere. That statistic makes our favorite guidos and guidettes want more bling.

The financial negotiations are being headed up by Pauly D’s manager, Larry Rudolph.

An MTV spokesperson says only that the network has “not yet confirmed a season two.”

Stay tuned.
