The cast of MTV’s Jersey Shore got what they wanted, meaning they will return for a second season.
Our favorite bunch of guidos (and guidettes) will now all get $10,000 per show. It’s interesting to note, however, that no signing bonus was issued for the bunch.

The had been negotiating for more money, and it looks like the tactic worked.
Papers have yet to be signed formally.
Mike Sorrentino (AKA “The Situation”) shot down various media reports yesterday following rumors that the cast might be replaced.
“I speak with everybody. I don’t know if I want to go as far as to say I speak for everybody,” Mike told Billy Bush for Access Hollywood. “Me, Pauly and Snooks, we are very tight. We speak everyday and we make sure that we stick together and hopefully Season 2, if MTV wants it, we are going to make it happen.”
“I believe that the cast we have right now is irreplaceable and once you find that magic, it is hard to replace.”
Whew. I know the suspense was killing us.
