Today, the Google homepage unexpectedly features a unique holiday logo to commemorate Jackson Pollock’s birthday. The artist would have been 97 years old today.
The logo honoring Jackson Pollock’s birthday is probably the work of Googler and graphic artist Dennis Hwang, but the company’s legal team was quick to alert those who hover their cursors over the graphic that it is there “Courtesy of the Pollock/Krasner Foundation / ARS, NY.” The ARS stands for Artists Rights Society.
