Get ready for a wild ride. A new heavy metal video game, “Brutal Legend“, is coming soon…and Jack Black is the guest of honor.
“Brutal Legend” is a comedic fantasy homage to the strange universe that is heavy metal music. Jack Black stars as roadie Eddie Riggs. The game will also feature appearances from Judas Priest lead singer Rob Halford, Motorhead’s Lemmy Kilmister and Ozzy Osbourne.
The game is chocked full of heavy metal visuals and song lyrics. It also boasts a soundtrack of more than 100 songs.
“Brutal Legend” was developed by video game legend Tim Schafer, who is himself a heavy metal fanatic. He is the founder and CEO of Double Fine Productions, which has sort of a cult following in the video game universe. The company has such hits as “The Secret of Monkey Island” and “Psychonauts,” leading to a great deal of excitement surrouding “Brutal Legend”.
The game should hit shelves on October 13th, 2009.
Here is the official trailer for the game…
