Isn’t It Ironic? Carrie Prejean’s Mother Is Gay

Don't you think? A little too ironic. Yeah, I really do think.

UPDATE: Miss California Carrie Prejean was fired on June 10, 2009.

It's like going on national television denouncing gays in a beauty pageant and then having the world find out that your own mother is gay.

That's what has happened to Miss California 2009, Carrie Prejean.

Prejean’s mother, Francine Coppola, previously had a relationship with a woman.

Valerie Vetrano, her ex-girlfriend, says “Yes, Francine and I dated.”

According to a friend, “Francine explained how she was a Christian and that her loved ones would never accept her if she were gay. Valerie feels that if Francine had just been open about her sexuality with her family, Carrie would have a better understanding of what gay people have to go through. They just want equal rights.”

If this isn't the ultimate in hypocrisy, then I don't know what is.
