Is ‘The Event’ Being Funded by the U.S. Government?

There was a time when odd, inexplicable UFO-type events happened only once every couple of month.  Now, they seem to be happening on a weekly basis, if not daily.

What does it all mean?  Is it leading up to some huge, civilization-changing disclosure by our government?  We’ve written about the possibility here before, and while it hasn’t happened yet, sources would indicate that something is definitely on the horizon.

The latest rumor comes from David Wilcock, who writes the Divine Cosmos blog.  We know that NBC’s new series The Event has captivated many viewers, but is there something more to the complex series about a massive alien cover-up?

While doing some investigating on The Event, one source told Wilcox:

“I know for a fact that 60 percent of the budget for The Event was funded by Uncle Sam [i.e. some aspect of the US government, probably the Pentagon.] They’ve also funded that television show V, as well as Battlestar Galactica. Those are three I know for sure.”

Why would the government do such a thing?

“They’re trying to tell the truth…with a bit of spin, of course.”

Wilcock claims that up to 75 percent of the budgets of various warlike “action” and sci-fi movies, particularly those with an anti-extraterrestrial agenda, are financed by the Pentagon.

Adding further fuel to the fire is the recent slew of alien-type projects being developed in Hollywood.

Just to name a few, there’s “Falling Skies” (Steven Spielberg), “Super 8″ (J.J. Abrams); “Battle: Los Angeles” (pro–U.S. Military alien invasion), “I Am Number Four” (James Frey), “Cowboys and Aliens” (period-piece alien invasion), “Monsters” (romance/alien invasion), The Event (LOST-replacing alien invasion), “Skyline” (human-tornado alien invasion), “Men in Black III” (alien invasion), “The Thing” (prequel alien invasion), “Battleship” (childhood-toy alien invasion), and “Iron Sky” (dark-side-of-the-moon Nazis alien invasion).

Not to mention the recent slew of UFO sightings, books on the subject, and the fact that our nukes are being inexplicably shut down left and right.

To quote Double Rainbow Guy, “What does it all mean?”

No one seems to know for sure, but as the WWE’s Jim Ross would say, “Business…is about to pick up.”
