The wait is over. After months and months of waiting, the iPhone MMS release date has arrived.
The much-awaited anticipated update, which AT&T managed to deliver on-time, is currently available via iTunes for most AT&T users. Just connect your phone, install the update, and reboot your phone.
It will be interesting to see how AT&T handles the additional traffic. There has been some concern that it would not be able to handle the stress of millions of iPhone users sending pictures via MMS for the first time.
What Is iPhone MMS?
The new iPhone MMS feature allows users to send photos, audio recordings, video clips or contact information and has a short messaging service. AT&T expects iPhone MMS to create record traffic volumes. In June, when Apple announce that iPhone MMS was ready, AT&T was concerned that it would crash the network.
Did the update work for you? Have you sent and received any pictures? Let us know in the comments.
