Just about one month ago, Apple released the iPhone software version 3.1. Today, we get another new updates, iPhone 3.1.2.
iPhone 3.1.2 seems to focus primarily on providing fixes for a few bugs encountered with iPhone 3.1. Specifically, Apple points out an issue where some iPhones don't wake up from sleep. This may be the issue that some users are calling "coma mode".
Also, the new update corrects a sporadic issue that could interfere with network services and require a restart, and also a bug that could cause your phone to crash while streaming video.
Here is the official word on the update from Apple:
- Resolves sporadic issue that may cause iPhone to not wake from sleep
- Resolves intermittent issue that may interrupt cellular network services until restart
- Fixes bug that could cause occasional crash during video streaming
The update clocks in at about 306.2MB and is available for the iPhone 3G, the original iPhone, and the iPod touch.
