iFart Is Number One, iBreath Debuts

It looks like iFart, the catchy little bodily function app for the iPhone is a hit. We've already seen numerous knock-offs hit the App Store lately, none quite as good as the original.

Now, iFart Mobile has hit the top of the charts.

WMD’s have finally been located in the unlikeliest of places, and thousands are applauding this major discovery.

Weapons of METHANE Destruction have been unleashed on the iPhone and iPod Touch population via Apple’s popular iTunes App Store in the form of a best-selling novelty application, iFart Mobile.

Since debuting in the app store on December 12th, 2008, iFart Mobile has blasted to the top of the Entertainment category, surpassing sales of all other novelty applications including the popular Koi Pond and iBeer. Grown men embracing their inner child are flocking to iFart Mobile. They are blown away at the entertainment value and features in this seemingly innocuous application.

A slightly more serious app also made its debut in the App Store. Apple is really taking technology to the next level. Now you too, can own your very own breathalyzer, the iBreath.

The iBreath is an attachment for the iPhone that measures blood alcohol level. For only $79 you can buy this accessory that plugs right into the iPhone. The iBreath features a retractable blow wand and, within 2 seconds, it will display the results on an LED screen. A reading of 0.08 or above sets off an alarm because that blood-alcohol level is above the legal limit.

“We are absolutely not advocating drinking and driving, but we know that people just don’t observe that,” said don Bassler, chief executive and founder of David Steele Enterprises Inc. in Newport Beach, an online retailer and creator of the iBreath. “We don’t want people to think that this makes it all OK, but it’s a safety device that we hope people will use, and it may save lives.”

This is actually a really awesome device. We know of too many people who thought they were okay to drive and then got a DUI. This may have made them think twice.
