It seems that the battle for flatulence supremacy is alive and well over in the Apple app store.

Yesterday, Apple decided to let a new genre of apps into the store with the introduction of Pull My Finger , a humorous but simple application that emits certain, er, noises whenever you pull on a "virtual finger". This app was rejected by Apple at first. Now that it has been let into the mix, a new wave of competitors is already marching onto the scene. In fact, there is already a pretty serious competitor. It’s called iFart and it’s actually an improvement over Pull My Finger . (Note: Is this post setting a new personal low-point? I don't know)

While, Pull My Finger simply plays embarrassing noises on cue, iFart adds a new level of "excitement" with their "stealth" mode, which allows you to set off your detonation after a fixed period of time. You can also activate “security”, where the phone makes one of these lovely noises whenever your phone is moved or disturbed.

So go ahead. Stink up the place. Then, go light a match. :-)
