There’s a new billboard in Idaho that’s creating quite a stir.
The signage shows depicts accused Aurora, Colorado movie theater gunman James Holmes along with a caption that reads, “Kills 12 in movie theater with assault rifle, everyone freaks out.”
Next to Holmes appears a picture of a laughing President Barack Obama with the caption, “Kills thousands with his foreign policy, wins Nobel Peace Prize.”
The controversial billboard was erected by Maurice Clements, a member of a group honoring the memory of Libertarian Ralph Smeed.
He says Obama broke his promise to bring the troops home.
“We’re all outraged over that killing in Aurora, Colo., but we’re not outraged over the boys killed in Afghanistan.”
Not surprisingly, local residents are up in arms over the billboard.
