Forecasters say Hurricane Felicia is still a well-organized storm system with a defined eye and impressive spiral banding.
The storm has been downgraded to a Category 2 hurricane. Winds are now at 100 mph and it’s traveling towards Hilo at about 45 mph.
Forecasters expect the storm to be a tropical storm by late Saturday morning.
Hurrican Felicia should reach Hawaii either Monday night or Tuesday morning as a tropical storm or possibly as a tropical depression.
The storm has been downgraded but still warrants caution, according to hurricane experts.
