Well, this is interesting. The details of the divorce settlement between Hulk Hogan and his wife Linda have just gone public, even though they were divorced back in 2009.
Linda Bollea, 52, seems to have put the Hulkster in a submission maneuver, receiving just over 70 percent of the couple’s liquid assets, according to the court filings.
In addition, Hogan, 58, the semi-retired pro wrestler whose real name is Terry Bollea, agreed to give his ex 40 percent ownership in his various companies and pay her an additional $3 million in “property settlement.”
The confidential financial settlement leaked to the media this week after it was attached to a new motion filed by Hulk’s attorneys.
Details from the settlement show that Linda Bollea received $7.44 million of the couple’s $10.41 million that was held in bank and investment accounts. Terry Bollea got the remaining $2.97 million.
Their properties were either sold or are still on the market. The couple’s home used in the VH1 reality series Hogan Knows Best was originally listed for nearly $14 million. It is now selling for about $8.8 million. Once that sells, Hogan will owe Linda $1.45 million. The two will split the remaining proceeds.
Linda Bollea also got received several cars in the split, including a Mercedes-Benz, a Corvette, a Cadillac Escalade, and a Rolls-Royce! Hulk received many of the remaining automobiles.
On the bright side, Hulk won’t have to pay Linda any alimony. He will also get to keep any money he earns from personal appearances.
I guess this might explain why he’s still wresting with TNA Wrestling. Gotta’ pay the bills!
