At first I thought Gmail‘s “conversation view” was very innovative and it’s what eventually lured me into switching my personal email account over to Gmail.
There are definitely times, however, when I would rather see each reply and forward separately, as I inevitable end up missing one when there are replies from several different people.
The Google gods have heard our prayers and it turns out there is now a way to turn OFF the conversation view in Gmail, and it couldn’t be any easier.
Just head over to the main “Settings” page in your Gmail account, look for the “Conversation View” section, select the option to turn it off, and save your changes. If you find that you actually miss the feature and want to turn it back on later, no problem.
This feature is just rolling out now so if you don’t see it right away, just check back in a couple of days. See? Wasn’t that easy?
