Apple has built itself a reputation for churning out state-of-the-art, quality products, but a minor flaw with its iPhone 4 product has many people crying “foul.”
It seems that, after a while, the power/lock/sleep button on the iPhone 4 eventually becomes “stuck.” It’s not a matter of “if,” it’s a matter of when.
Sometimes, it gets stuck in the down position so that it can’t be clicked. Other times, the button loses its “clicky-ness.”
If you’re phone is still under warranty, good news – just take it in to your local Apple Store and they will replace it free of charge.
If you’re not under warranty, however, Apple will want you to fork over at least $150 to replace and/or fix your phone (Jobs/grave/spinning).
So what can you do about it? Well, if you don’t mind loosening a couple of screws, you might just be able to fix the problem yourself.
Learn how in the video below.
NOTE: This method WILL void your warranty…use with caution.
