After an hour-long Houston car chase that spanned two counties, a suspect was arrested on Monday afternoon.
The chase started at about 1pm, local time, when Houston police decided to investigate suspicious activity inside of a white van. As the police officer approached the van, the suspect fled.
Several police officers followed and a high speed chase
was underway. The van weaved in and out of traffic, almost struck a motorcyclist, and put pedestrians and motorists at risk. The chase came to an end when Houston police followed the van into a parking garage at the Houston Mall.
The suspect then jumped from the top of a parking garage onto a platform. Police were able to subdue him and placed him under arrest.
