Today, a House panel recommended that Attorney General Eric Holder be cited for contempt for his failure to turn over documents related to the Fast and Furious gunrunning scandal.
Despite the fact that President Barack Obama invoked Executive Privilege in the matter earlier today, the House House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has approved a resolution holding Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress for failure to turn over key Justice Department documents regarding the botched operation.
Today’s vote is said to have followed party lines.
The measure now goes to the full House.
