Shutting down a site without any notification because their server can't handle the load for 2 minutes is unforgivable. What a joke. If there is an issue or a potential issue, wouldn't let your customer know, or give them an option, or at the very least an email? We had to jump through hoops to find out this is why our index.php file was set to "000" thus making our site unavailable FOR HOURS STILL. I'm done with them after 8 years and thousands of dollars in affiliates, accounts, dedicated servers etc. I'm recommending everyone to a proper hosting company. Also, I was previously a customer of ThePlanet (who HG resells) and when I noticed price changes they were able to adjust it without question or hoops to jump through. Our standard operating procedure is to call customers as well as email them. If you did not receive a call, please send me a quick email with the ticket ID we sent to you and I'll check into why you didn't get on and take action. Sometimes employee error is to blame and that's obviously unacceptable, especially in situations like these.
