If you own a Honda, you'll want to pay close attention.
Honda Motor Company said on Friday that it is going to expand a recall initiated back in November of last year by 440,000 more vehicles because of an airbag defect.
The recall affects certain 2001-2002 Honda Accords, 2001 Honda Civics, as well as 2002-2003 Acura TLs.
Honda said that a potential flaw in the airbag inflator could cause the inflator's casing to rupture and spray metal fragments when the airbag is deployed.
Under the recall, dealers will replace the airbag inflator free of charge. The Japanese manufacturer has not yet provided an owner notification schedule, but owners can contact Honda at 1-800-999-1009.
