Hilary Duff is tying the knot! She’s now engaged to Edmonton Oilers player Mike Comrie.
Comrie, 29, proposed last weekend while they were on vacationing in Hawaii.
“After having been together for over two years, they are very excited to share this happy news,” says Hilary’s rep. “They are thankful for all of your warm wishes.”
Right after they started seeing each other, Comrie surprised Hilary with a new Mercedes-Benz G-class SUV as a 20th birthday present.
“He’s a great guy,” she said in 2009. “I’ve never met anyone who could say a bad word about him. He’s generous, caring, funny. We just laugh our heads off, which I need in my life … He’s unique. I wouldn’t want to be with someone who wasn’t unique.”
Comrie adds, “We have fun. We both live such different lives, but it’s always fun to support each other and spend time when we get to.”
Duff has had previous relationships with Joel Madden and teen star Aaron Carter.
