Hide yo kids, hide yo wives, internet viral video sensation Antoine Dodson has been arrested.
Police in Alabama booked the “Bed Intruder” star on a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana. He was apparently in police custody for a short time.
Dodson, 24, was charged with a few other misdemeanors as well, including speeding, failing to appear twice on a traffic charge, and failing to have liability insurance. Oops!
The drug-related charges are a bit of a setback for Dodson, who instantly rose to internet stardom after a 2010 TV news interview went viral, leading to an auto-tune song from the Gregory Brothers. Dodson went on to appear on the Today show, endorse a mobile phone app, and has revealed plans to shoot a reality TV show.
When he was first discovered on the local news, Dodson was living in an Alabama housing project and enjoyed his meteoric rise to internet fame: “This could be an opportunity for our family to get out of the ‘hood’.”
