One person has died on Saturday after a small plane and Liberty Harbor Sightseeing Tours helicopter crashed in mid-air. Both aircrafts have fallen into the Hudson River in Manhattan.

Officials confirm that the first casualty has been recovered by firefighters. A diving rescue team is attempting to recover the other survivors.

Just before noon EDT, a white airplane crashed into the rear of a black helicopter, according to witnesses.

Officials say that the plane left from Teterboro Airport and that the helicopter had five passengers and one pilot.
