Actress Heather Locklear was rushed to the hospital yesterday afternoon in Thousand Oaks, California after mixing prescription drugs and alcohol, according to TMZ.
Locklear’s sister phoned 911 yesterday afternoon fearing Heather was in danger.
Paramedics arrived, examined Locklear, and determined that the actress needed to be hospitalized.
Locklear was awake and responsive when she arrived at the hospital and she’s currently responding well to treatment. Doctors are hopeful that she’ll be released today.
“She is in no danger and she’s going to be just fine,” said parents Bill and Diane Locklear in a statement issued by Los Robles Hospital & Medical Center last night.
This is not the first time Locklear, 50, has had an emergency that involved 911. In 2008, her doctor was concerned she may have overdosed on prescription medications. He called 911 and the operator described the incident as a “suicide attempt.” Fortunately, that wound up being a false alarm.
In 2009, she pleaded no contest to reckless driving after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription medication.
The Melrose Place actress recently broke off her engagement to Jack Wagner.
