One of Santa’s elves has been misbehaving.
Hayden Wright, a 4-year-old Tennessee boy, was caught stealing Christmas presents from under his neighbor’s tree after drinking a beer.
The young boy was found at about 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday. He was wandering the streets wearing a dress he took from under the tree.
Hayden’s mother, April Wright, is in the process of divorcing Hayden’s father, who is currently doing time, and she believes he was just looking for his dad.
“He runs away trying to find his father,” said 21-year-old April. “He wants to get in trouble so he can go to jail because that’s where his daddy is.”
How bad could life be for a 4-year-old that he needs to drink beer to escape from his troubles? “Oh God, not another day of preschool! Hey, bartender…gimme a refill!”
