Haunted House Cop Pulls Gun on Character (VIDEO)

A cop right here in Baltimore has been charged with assault after he pulled a gun on a chainsaw-wielding haunted house character.

Baltimore County police report that Sgt. Eric Janik, 36, pulled his service weapon on a haunted house worker dressed as Leatherface from "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" at the House of Screams on Sunday in Essex.

Apparently, the Michael Morrison came up to Janik in costume once the haunted house tour was finished because he wanted to get "one last scream."

As a result, Morrison got quite a scare when Janik pulled his gun and pointed it Morrison's chest.

"I was doing my normal scene at the haunted house, and as I was going out the backdoor with the chainsaw, the officer pulled his gun on me. Basically, he put his gun to my chest and as I was going back in, he said he was a cop," Morrison told WBAL.

He immediately dropped his chain saw (which had no chain and was not dangerous).

Janik was a female officer and his 9-year-old daughter at the time.

In the charging documents, the cop denies aiming his loaded gun at Morrison and instead claims he pointed it at the ground. Police indicate that he also may have been drinking.

"Callers said he seemed to be very intoxicated. In fact, the people inside the haunted House of Screams noted that. When he was being processed, two of the officers noticed his speech was slurred and there was a moderate odor of alcohol coming from his breath. He didn't seem to be taking this quite as seriously as he should have been," reports Baltimore County police spokesman Bill Toohey.

Janik is a 14-year veteran and has been suspended without pay pending a formal hearing.
