If this post from the NIN forums is any indication, the answer is "yes."

Trent Reznor seems to be sick of the spammers and trolls that lurk on Twitter and, in addition to that, many users seem disappointed that he's not the same rebellious sole that he was in 1994.  He's engaged now, you know, which has a tendency to change a person...in a good way, usually.

Trent Reznor writes:

I approached that as a place to be less formal and more off-the-cuff, honest and “human”. I was not expecting to broadcast details of my love life there, but it happened because I’m in love and it’s all I think about and that’s that. If this has bummed you out or destroyed what you’ve projected on me, fair enough - it’s probably time for you to leave. You are right, I’m not the same person I was in 1994 (and I’m happy about that). Are you?

He's also had it with the trolls that are apparently bashing him and his fiance, Mariqueen Maandig...

So when you see the new accounts that pop up daily on Twitter spewing [garbage], usually from picture-less creatively named profiles, spewing hate at Mariqueen and I, take a moment to visualize the sad couple people behind them.

Reznor says he won’t change it until "Twitter improves blocking." I'm not sure how quick Twitter will be to rectify any of these issues, but hopefully Trent Reznor will learn to see Twitter for what it is...a novel place to exchange ideas with the world, not a place where you divulge the deepest, darkest secrets of your sole.
