Atlantis on Google Ocean
Has Google Earth found the lost city of Atlantis, just 620 miles off the West Coast of Africa?
According to a report, Google Ocean has snagged an image showing a grid that features a rectangular perimeter of the seabed, a possible location for Atlantis.
This particular area of the sea, 620 miles off the west coast of Africa near the Canary Islands, is a location for the legendary continent once suggested by the ancient philosopher Plato.
The “grid” showed up on Google Ocean, a Google Earth extension that uses a combination of satellite images and marine surveys.
Well, we can all relax. Google today said the markings were, in fact, the path followed by the boats collecting Bathymetric sea floor terrain data.
