Having just been eliminated from the Ivy League’s title race, the Harvard baseball team was looking for a little pick-me-up during the boring road trip back home.
So the guys decided to do a little choreographed lip-dub cover of Carly Rae Jepsen’s incredibly catchy single “Call Me Maybe.”
The video gets off to a bit of a slow start (yes, that one guy sleeps through the entire thing), but once it really kicks in, it’s worth the wait.
“It plays against a lot of stereotypes of Harvard guys; we’re having a fun time being totally goofy. I’m sure everyone thought we’d be reading books on the way,” senior and Crimson infielder Jeff Reynolds told CBS Boston.
“I think it’s funny because it’s just a group of normal guys having a good time to kind of a girly song,” added senior pitcher Conner Hulse.
How catchy is their dance number? It’s accumulated over 3 million views in just 5 days. Now THAT’s viral!
Be sure to check out the team’s charity, Friends of Jaclyn.
Filmed and directed by: Conner Hulse
Starring: Jack Colton (asleep), Jeff Reynolds, Steven Dill, Andrew Ferreira, Marcus Way, Kyle Larrow, Jon Smart, and Joey Novak
