Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong Kicked off Flight over Saggy Pants

Billie Joe Armstrong didn’t have to wait until September ends to get a rude awakening from Southwest Airlines.

The Green Day frontman was booted off a flight on Thursday night because he was looking like a fool with his pants on the ground. He was escorted off the Oakland to Burbank flight after a flight attendant insisted that his pants were hanging too low.

Armstrong immediately took to Twitter to vent his frustration.

Most of the plane had reportedly already been seated when Armstrong boarded. As he walked over to his assigned seat, a flight attendant asked him to pull up his pants.

Billie Joe didn’t care for the remark and lashed out at the flight attendant saying, “Don’t you have better things to do then worry about that?”

When neither side would back down, Armstrong was kicked off the flight along with his companion.

There is a happy ending, however. Once Southwest was made aware of his profane, annoyed tweet, an airline rep reached out to apologize and booked Billie Joe on the next flight.
