We had it on the DL that AOL would have a new CEO ASAP.
AOL has just named that chairman and CEO. Tim Armstrong, who formerly ran ad sales for Google, will replace Randy Falco as CEO.
AOL President and COO Ron Grant will also be departing.
Armstrong’s name had been tossed around as a possible CEO at several different companies. He now undertakes quite a challenge at AOL, as they don't have nearly the amount of strength or clout as Google.
