At the Google I/O event today, the company debuted a new product suite called Google Web Elements. Web site owners can now embed several Google products right on their web pages. Most of these widgets have been around for a while, but not all in one place.
If you own a website or blog, you can add any one of eight Google widgets on a single page: Calendar, Conversation, Custom Search, Maps, News, Presentations, Spreadsheets, and YouTube News.
Even better, adding Google search is just as easy as choosing it from a menu. The widget even detects your site’s URL for you.
There is even a conversation widget which rivals systems like Disqus (which we use on this blog), albeit on a smaller scale.
It’s a pretty nice package. Go check out Google Web Elements for yourself.
