During the second day of the Google I/O conference, the company has unveiled something spectacular…it’s called Google Wave.
Google Wave is a new communication and collaboration tool that gives us a glimpse at what e-mail might look like if it were invented today. It could very well be the next generation of e-mail.
Yes, this is a game-changer.
Google Wave will combine your e-mail, web chat, IM, and project management software. It will give you the ability to replay entire conversations…it records the whole thing, character by character.
Because of the functionality involved, discussions will now be “real-time” in Google Wave, ie: you will be able to see your friends response, as they type it.
Google Wave could even be a blogger’s new best friend, as it has been built so that you can include a Wave as part of a post. Ergo, any conversation in that wave about the post can happen real-time!
If you’re eager to test it out, you will have to hold on. Google Wave won’t be available to the public until late 2009. Currently, it’s only available to a select few developers.
