Fail Nation: A Visual Romp Through the World of Epic Fails.

google trends Google Trends: Not Just for Breakfast AnymoreI hope you have been paying attention.  I hope you have been taking notes.  In previous months, we have discussed WHY you should be using Google Trends, WHO has been hot on Google Trends, and even HOW to profit from Google Trends.

Well, now it seems that some big-time players are catching on to the buzz. I'll give you a tip (for free, just because I'm that kind of guy).  :-)...

I am now using iGoogle as my home page, which pre-loads all of my RSS feeds in a Google Reader window AND it can pre-load the current Top Ten on Google Trends.  I look for something relevant to my niche and BOOM, instant blog post.

There seems to be a growing debate as to whether or not these tactics are black-hat.  Personally, I think this is just a very smart way to snag some traffic.  Does it convert?  Well, that's up to you.  Hopefully, if you're optimizing your page to capture traffic from these trends, your page is relevant AND has SOME means of turning that visitor into a repeat visitor.

Personally, I use that little sign-up box from AWeber at the bottom of every post.  I would highly recommend that you get one.  At $19.95 per month, it's a steal.  If you can't afford $19.95 per month to AWeber to build-up your opt-in e-mail list, then internet marketing is simply not for you.

Remember, as a colleague told me recently, internet marketing is all about ROI (return on investment)...otherwise, it's just a hobby.

Now, stop reading.  Start making money.
