Google has introduced two changes to its search results pages - expanded “related searches” lists and longer search descriptions.
"Related Searches" is meant to provide related items at the bottom of your search results page. Google says it's a “new technology that can better understand associations and concepts related to your search.”
The system should now recognize a larger number of queries and deliver more relevant results.
The second change merely provides a longer excerpt quoted under each search result, in certain circumstances. Google will now display longer descriptions for longer search terms. Seems logical.
Should you key in a 4-word search phrase, Google will add extra lines onto the description below the search results to provide you with a better view of the various pages.
These changes are far from ground-breaking, but they should make your "Googling" a little more interesting to be sure.
