Recession? Is there a recession? You certainly couldn’t tell by looking at the nice bonuses several Google execs received.
The Google bonus amounts are almost the same as last year’s, according to a document filed with the SEC this morning:
Here is a look at those bonuses:
Robert A. Eustace, SVP Engineering & Research: $ 1,376,000
Omid Kordestani, SVP Global Sales & Business Development: $ 1,376,000
Patrick Pichette, CFO: $1,244,000
George Reyes, former CFO: $675,000
Jonathan Rosenberg, SVP Product Management: $1,638,000
Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Eric Schmidt: $o
These are very healthy bonuses, don’t you think? To be fair, they ARE a SMALL tick down from last year, when Eustace, Kordestani, Reyes and Rosenberg each received bonuses of $1,683,606.
A year ago, though, Google stock was at $471, as opposed to around $327 this morning.
What do you think? Are these bonuses justified in today’s economy?
