Matt Cutts posted a handy Google Books tip on the Google Webmaster Central YouTube Channel this week.
Using an ordinary USB-powered barcode scanner, you can quickly add your books from your very own bookshelf to the My Library feature within Google Books.
Just click on the "My Library" in Google Books, then click on "Import Books." Instead of typing in the ISBNs manually, you can use a barcode scanner to import the ISBN from the barcode on each book in your library.
This will allow you to use a Google Books-powered search to search your own home book collection!
