Most U.S. banks are open on Good Friday.  The next banking holiday in the U.S. is May 25, 2009 (Memorial Day).  You should still call your local bank as some of them do choose to close on Good Friday.

Is the Post Office open on Good Friday? YES
The United States Postal Service or USPS maintains regular service hours on Good Friday as it is not a federal holiday.

Is UPS open on Good Friday? YES
UPS is open and maintains normal service hours on Good Friday.

Is FedEx open on Good Friday? YES
Similar to UPS, FedEx is open for Good Friday 2009.

Is the stock market open on Good Friday? NO
The stock market is not open on Good Friday, April 10, 2009.  The next holiday closing for the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) will be Monday, Memorial Day, May 25, 2009.
