Not only has Google sped up Chrome, but now a new Gmail improvement can also help you speed through your day a little more quickly.
Gmail Inbox Preview lets you view a simple, static preview of your inbox with your ten most recent messages displayed while Gmail is still loading. You can activate it from the Labs tab under Settings, and if you’re on a slow connection you’ll know from the start if it’s worth the wait.
You can’t open the messages or interact with them at all, but at least you can quickly tell if you have any new messages waiting for you without having to sit through the load time.
