The Girl Scouts have ordered a North Carolina girl to cancel her plan to sell cookies online fearing safety issues, the Associated Press reported.
The Ashville Scout member was planning to make a YouTube video to help sell cookies for her troop and raise enough money for them to go to summer camp. The organization, however, had the ad removed. Issues of fairness and safety were given for the decision.
This makes a lot of sense as it was a good idea, but the potential risks would seem to outweigh the benefits.
If it’s any consolation, I’ll take a box of Samoas. I love those.
