Who ya' gonna' call?
Twenty five years after the original Ghostbusters movie swept the nation, the production of Ghostbusters III has officially been given the green light.
A third Gostbusters film has been rumored for years, but once the Ghostbusters II sequel tanked it 1989, the plans were scrapped.
The original Ghostbusters film ended up taking in more than $280 million in worldwide box office receipts.
The biggest draw for Ghostbusters III will be the return of the entire original cast. Among the retuning cast is Harold Ramis, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Rick Moranis, and even Bill Murray.
The script for Ghostbusters III is not yet finished so there is still a long way to go. If things stay on track, we could expect to see the film in theaters by summer of 2011.
