Do you find some of the classics to be boring?  Then this one might just be for you.

Natalie Portman has signed on to both produce and star in a new film version of the best-selling book “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies,” written by Seth Grahame-Smith and Jane Austen – sort of.

Lionsgate will finance and distribute the film. Quirk Books published the story.

This reworked version of the Austen classic adds a unique twist on the love story when a deadly virus outbreak start to turn the locals into killers. Elizabeth Bennet must then attempt to balance her feelings for Mr. Darcy with her duty to slay the undead.

This one will be unique, no doubt, but there is something strangely appealing about a zombie outbreak in 19th-century England.

We can’t wait.
