F My Life: It's Funny, It's True, Except When It Happens to You

Let's face it.  The economy stinks.  Layoffs are running rampant, job losses just hit a 34-year high, and venture capital may soon be drying up.  What could possibly bring a smile to your face on this chilly Sunday morning.

How about a free PR6 backlink?  Hopefully, you have already read our previous strategy for getting a PR6 backlink.

Well, today Garry Conn let one of my little secrets out of the bag so I thought I would share it with you here as well.  What's the secret?

Wikipedia.  Yes, Wikipedia.

Wikipedia can supply your blog with some amazing and very powerful backlinks. These are links that you can add yourself simply by editing a few Wikipedia pages. Anyone is authorized to edit a page in Wikipedia, in fact, you don’t even have to register for an account.

If you see a page that is relevant to your blog, simply edit the page.  You can then list your site or blog in the "external links" area at the bottom of the page.  Yes, I know the links are no-follow, but to me a no-follow link is like drinking decaffeinated coffee, it may not have any caffeine in it...but it's STILL coffee.  A link is a link is a link.

As Garry says, don't be an idiot.  Don't go spamming your link all over every page on Wikipedia.  Their editors are actual humans who will ban you in an instant if you start screwing with the system too much.

You should also submit deep, relevant links and not just link to your home page.

Play it smart, and enjoy some PR6 linky love!

P.S. - If you're REALLY into SEO, be sure to check out my OWN e-book , SEO Supremacy, on how to make $144,000 per year by getting your own SEO clients.  You should also check out the secret SEO loophole that will allow you to get top rankings on MSN for ANY keyword.  It's amazing.
