Some German authorities have banned the Red Bull energy drink after finding that one “secret ingredient” not listed on the label is cocaine.

Granted, the amount of cocaine is minute and doesn’t present any health risks in small quantities, but the substance is illegal nonetheless.

According to various local reports, the cocaine is a result of the de-cocainization process associated with the coca leaf in the drink, which obviously doesn’t seem to work very well.

Red Bull’s creators have argued the decision, stating that Red Bull had been given the seal of approval by the EU and the United States.

Regardless, Red Bull is now classified as a narcotic.
