George Zimmerman Police VideoPolice surveillance video footage of George Zimmerman being led from a squad car just after he fatally shot unarmed teen Trayvon Martin in Florida has just been released.

Despite reports that Martin slammed Zimmerman’s head into the sidewalk and that the neighborhood watch volunteer suffered a broken nose, Zimmerman doesn’t appear to have any injuries or bloodstains.

His attorney says the video is too grainy to be revealing.

The new footage shows a handcuffed George Zimmerman exiting from the police car unaided and walking into the station.

It was taken about four hours after the shooting.

There are no signs of any injuries to Zimmerman’s head nor does there appear to be any blood on his clothes. He is, however, wearing a red jacket, which could make blood stains difficult to see.

The police report does state that the Sanford Fire Department administered first aid to Zimmerman at the scene, which could account for his appearance in the video below.

Appearing on NBC’s TODAY on this morning, Zimmerman’s attorney Craig Sonner described the video as “very grainy.”

He also points out the aforementioned first aid that Zimmerman received in the four hours between the incident and Zimmerman’s videotaped arrival at the police station.  You can check out the TODAY show interview below.

Sonner has previously stated that his client suffered a broken nose and a laceration to his head during the altercation.

An eyewitness report also allegedly names Trayvon Martin as the aggressor in the case.

The February shooting has sparked outrage across the country and has led to a DOJ investigation, the resignation of a police chief, remarks from President Obama, and marches and protests nationwide.

Geraldo has even weighed in on the fact that Martin was wearing a hoodie at the time of his killing.  Congressman Bobby Rush had to be removed from the House of Representatives yesterday after putting on a hoodie during his floor session.

Yesterday, director Spike Lee retweeted a message containing an inaccurate address for George Zimmerman, causing the couple who actually did live at the address to flee to a nearby hotel.  Lee has since apologized for the erroneous retweet.

What do you think? Was Zimmerman acting in self-defense or did he use excessive force in fatally shooting Trayvon Martin?
