Courtney Love‘s daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, has obtained a restraining order against her mother.
Cobain, who is also the daughter of former Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain, has taken legal action against her mom just days after guardianship of her was turned over over to Kurt’s mother, Wendy O’Connor, and his sister, Kimberly Cobain. Frances requested the restraining order herself.
A judge has temporarily ordered that Courtney is to have no contact with Frances. There will be another hearing on January 5 to consider making the restraining order permanent.
Kurt’s brother, Charles Fradenburg, stated that Wendy has been trying to gain custody of Frances, 17, for quite a while.
He says, “Courtney is not fit to take care of Frances, she can barely take care of herself. Courtney wasn’t doing any parenting at all, she was hiring nannies to do all of the work. This is a wonderful thing for the family.”
